The slowest cafe in the world

My eating partner and I went to the slowest cafe in the world today. It's our second visit - and while the food is excellent, it takes about 45 minutes to get your first coffee - then about another 15 to get your food - one person's food that is - about another half hour for the 2nd meal. You get the picture. You need a good book or magazine and a half-formed appetite to enjoy this place - and that's when it's NOT busy. It is a very trendy place though with many moneyed Thais coming and going.

Katoomba cafes

Yummy lunch in Katoomba today where I am holed up working on a screenplay. This might seem like a fabbo thing to do but it is a little like prison as you are compelled to be in your room writing all the time - and that's hard.
Went out for lunch to have some breathing space and also to read a reference book (research) for my screenplay amongst the hoy polloy.
Can't remember cafe name in Katoomba street but the meal - wild mushroom, porcetta, pumpkin and haloumi risotto was to die for. Yummo. Cracked pepper on top. Porcetta salty and pungent, pumpkin cubed and slightly sweet, haloumi salty too and mushrooms mild (a little like shitake) - plus super healthy and a great source of Vit B. This cafe knows it's stuff.
Juice of carrot, orange and ginger with the meal and a latte to follow up. Yum. Will post the name of the cafe tomorrow - and hopefully a photo too.
